A whirlygig at the site of the JCDL 2006 "banquet". I put banquet in quotes because this was not your typical conference banquet, it was a North Carolina barbecue at Fearrington Village with wonderful pulled and chopped pork and all the fixin's, including chicken for the vegetarians served by a wonderful staff.

Getting Books Online: Practices and Strategies

Brad is my colleague who works, among other things, whith the ETD project at UNC. We have been going to have lunch at least once a month since I was in Chapel Hill. I like very much my friend and colleague Brad, and I will miss our lunches at Franklin St.

Charles came after my birthday for the DC-Tools Workshop and he cooked for everybody... It was so nice!

Our buddy from Waikato University in New Zeland took his Oboe and he played so well... :-)

This was part of the exhibitors part of the Workshop, people show each other their applications, ideas, etc.

The JCDL is one of the most important conferences on Digital Libraries in the world. It is held every year somewhere in USA but this year I was so lucky that it was in Chapel Hill :-)
