From 1948 to 1953, the KPI trained reserve officers for the automobile and signal forces, from 1953 to 1960 - reserve officers for the country's air defense (air defense) troops, and since 1960 - reserve officers for the air defense troops of the ground forces. Since 1969, the department began training military reserve engineers for the Naval Forces.

Therefore the area between campuses is hosting some interesting examples of engineering miracles, like planes, tanks, helicopters, trains. This one is Yak-40.
