the loader has a 53 yd rock bucket or 90 - 120 ton lifting capacity.

The world's largest rubber-tire front loading vehicle of its kind, the L-2350's bucket is roughly the size of a studio apartment. It has a 2,300 horsepower engine capable of lifting up to 160,000 lbs. The operator stands two stories off the ground, and the mammoth bucket extends to a maximum height of nearly 44 feet. ift.tt/1U4K8Jp Ingo Valgma ift.tt/1IXzr6f

More giant earth moving equipment at the Trapper Mine. This is the Le Tourneau L-2350 loader. It's the biggest rubber tire loader in the world and removes surface coal after it is exposed by the dragline and then drops the coal into enormous dump trucks. Our whole group, about 25 people, assembled comfortably in the bucket for a group shot.

Here is a picture of Nicole and I holding the top view of the LeTourneau L-2350 Loader plans for it in 1/12th scale.

- Here is a picture of the worlds largest front end loader. It has a 53 yd. rock bucket that is 24ft. wide. It also has a ( 85 yd. ) coal bucket. WOW !! The monster machine is 64 ft. 8 in. long. To the top of the cab it stands 21Ft. tall. With the bucket raised, it reaches 43 ft. 9" in the air. It is powered by a 16 cylinder Cummins Diesel rated at 2,300 hp. The tires are 70/70-57 82pr and the rims are 60x57 . It has no steering wheel but is operated with 2 joysticks. One for the operating the machine and one for operating the bucket . This monster weighs in at a whopping 578,000 lbs. The LeTourneau is the largest Technologically advanced loader in the world today. So I just have to build a all steel , detailed model of this awesome machine. What I would really like to do is drive one and scoop a few buckets of rocks with the 53yd. bucket. Better yet, I want to put the 85 yd. coal bucket on that monster and scoop some coal with it. I guess if I'm dreaming, I might as well dream with the biggest bucket in the world too. ha,ha. This is a project I will build in 2004 and display it at the National Toy Show next fall in Iowa.
