Brian was a very good friend of mine. He passed away on April 23rd 2017 of pancreatic cancer. Brian was definitely one of a kind. He could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Irish folklore, history and music.

We worked together for many years and I have some fantastic "Brian Stories' that I will always treasure. He had a knack for saying the right thing when you were having a bad night or he had his famous one liners that would have you in a full belly laugh

May he rest in God's eternal peace!!! Miss ya buddy!

Brian told me he was going to have "Ma and Dad, I'm coming home placed on his stone. He said that when he was a kid living at home he would call his parents telling them that he was on his way home and these were the exact words he would use when he called

Diesel-electric wheel loader

The prototype featured a 22-cubic-yard bucket and was suited to load 150 to 170 ton haul trucks like the Euclid R-170.

My model in scale 1:28.5 has all the functions of the original:

- All-wheel drive with planetary gear reduction in each wheel hub using two PF XL motors

- Articulated steering by means of two linear actuators powered by a PF M motor

- Pneumatic lift arm with four-cylinder pump, driven by a PF L motor and PF Servo actuated valve

- Pneumatic bucket with four-cylinder pump, driven by a PF L motor and PF Servo actuated valve

- Oscillating rear axle

- Work and rear lights using four pairs of PF LEDs in total

The wheel loader is remote controlled using PF speed remotes and three PF receivers, one of which is a V2.

Saviez-vous que l’étourneau peut être imitateur ?

On m’appelle tantôt étourneau, tantôt sansonnet.

Here's the same photo, just a little bit closer so I can make some notes. See the previous photo on a little commentary on when exactly this photo might have been taken.

The plane is now very special to me because yesterday, 2/27/16, this aircraft became the first plane I ever flew!

I remember as a kid when Grandpa Joe would take me muskie fishing in northern Wisconsin for a month, and we stayed at LeTourneau's resort.

On windy rainy days, I would curl up in a chair by doors that opened onto the porch, listen to the wind and the rain and read.

It was especially neat at night when the moon was extra bright and filtered through the trees.

This particular photo was prompted by recollection of the cozy feelings I have, curled up in a chair, with a wide open door to the outdoors behind me. It's a simple image, but one so comforting and joyful.

Crawling up in the bowels of the pipe organ. There are 32-foot pipes in there, so it's quite a ways to the top. Not much room to move around. I'm very happy that I don't work as an organ tuner.

The LeTourneau LCC-1 Sno-Train was intended for D.E.W. line radar station supply in Northern Yukon and Alaska. In 1955 LeTourneau won the landtrain contract from the US Army Transportation Corps. Prior to its dispatch to the D.E.W. line it was tested first in Michigan, shortly thereafter it completed further testing on the Greenland ice cap.
