Avro Lancaster " Just Jane" runs her four Rolls-Royce Merlins for the photographers, at East Kirkby.

This Merlin was perched on the reserve sign at Staveley Nature Reserve as we walked through the gate back in August - totally wild and free. I managed about half a dozen shots before it flew off.

Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.

Had a special encounter with this amazing Merlin yesterday. He let me spend 20 minutes with him. It was awesome!

I don't usually do much with my photos as far as removing things but wondering if I should remove the branch to his left that sticks up next to him?

Things are slowing down at the hospital. Fingers crossed we are going in the right direction. Hope to be back on Flickr and out shooting more often now!

A friend told us that there was a family of Merlins near Morrisburg, Ontario. We decided to try our luck a week after he informed us and when we arrive at the scene we immediately spot 2 merlins on the electric poles. Not really the best place to shoot but we took a lot of time to watch them. The 2 merlins then move on the treetops. Then we find 2 others merlins across the street and another one on another post. A very nice family of 5 merlins at the same place

Thank you again Gregory for sharing your finding with us

Thanks so much for the visit!

Singing “higitus figitus” and packing his whole home in his bag. Nostalgia for me... How about you?

Hugs from me and Merlin!

A huge crop of a Merlin coming into land with its Dragonfly prey. Unfortunetly while it put on a wonderful display it simply would not come close at all.

Merlin (female) always wanted one of these, St Mary's Isles of Scilly

A winter 2018 shot from Catcott lows... There's been a couple of reports of them out on the levels in the few weeks, but I've failed to make contact as yet. So you'll have to make do with this for now.

My first photograph of a merlin.

St.Mary's, Scilly Isles.

Thank you for taking a look at my images.

This Merlin (Falco columbarius) successfully captured a bird and was busily de-feathering, then breaking it down to morsel size before consuming the prey on a perch near the south end of Beaverhill Lake east of Tofield, Alberta, Canada.
