I had a really nice sunset picture that needed something more, So I transplanted this picture of an old run down building. I copied it long ago off of Google Earth in Siberia. I've searched many times since, and can not find this building anywhere on the internet. But it's probably there in "real life" in the sunset with all it's memories.

Today I gave him his first taste of broccoli :) Just a little, not too much ^__^

Watch him here :)

I took a nice photo of the reeds against a blue sky. This adds more color to make it a more interesting picture.

What to do with a good background? Leave it alone? Nah. I did try to not over do it. This is my version of restraint.

The picture I took was of cold trees on the marsh. It's actually a pretty good picture as is. But I go for visual impact, and this version has much more of that.

Explore: Front page.

Rework of a popular Flickr picture of mine: Moonlight Walking in Marsh. This version is softer and more colorful. Based on an actual photograph I took in the Parker River Wildlife Refuge in Newburyport Massachusetts. But it didn't look like this except in my imagination.

The horrible Flickr map program lists it as Pine Island, but it's really Plum Island.

The colors were great, and I worked hard getting them right in post processing.

Again just proving how wonderful this day's photography was ...PS hardly any touches in LR to these images

My new remote filter pulls in pictures from far away.

Got carried away processing my picture, and this is the result.

My super wide angle telephoto lens captures not only earth scenes but spacial sky images also. How can that be? Don't know - I just take the pictures.

A serious 'dump' of snow yesterday here in Snowdonia ......Hope the weather picks up for Easter !

Though i have to say the mountains do look fantastic and all the roads are clear so driving is no issue .......

'Wahkeena Creek' Large On Black

I decided to go in the woods and start practicing "slow water" photos. This is Wahkeena Creek located in the Columbia Gorge Historic Highway Area, Multnomah County, Oregon.

Late afternoon on the Newburyport boardwalk.

Flickr's horrible map program listed this as across the river on Rings Island. It's not.

Seemingly simple, but it took a lot of work to get it to look like this.

I had such a great time shooting this river i am fairly sure i will be back soon ....hoping most of the snow has gone by now

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and a great BH too

Unrecognizable remake of an earlier picture of mine. But the ducks are the same.

Deep in the forest this is what it looks like.

Started as an uninteresting picture of a road. I added a new sky and made the foreground look painterly. But this didn't look much better. Playing around with blending options the Divide blend gave an interesting look despite making everything look non distinct. So I added the runner with umbrella and some street lights and this is the result.

A thoughtful person commented that this picture was: Very Upbeat! 'Singing in the Rain' to 'Dancing to Van Gogh'. Exactly what I had in mind, but better expressed than I could have done.

Actual picture, but with the waves amplified and simplified. I made over 30 variations some with more detail and some with less. This one seemed to have the best balance with a dreamy painterly look. And those people were really there in front of the waves.

This is not what I started out to create as a picture, but sometimes the image takes over. Maybe its a dream or vision of whats to come to us all.... Right now we only look at eternity through a window.

My son Shawn bought this for me.. We will be back on the road in the morning

so I wanted to wish all of you a wonderful Valentine's Day....deb

I photographed another Cloud Monster about five years ago, but I like this one better. Real cloud with a little creative help from me. The world is full of things if you look up and use your imagination.

I normally do not like vertical landscapes, except for this scene.

Further into the valley i go ..this time a little touch of HDR ...and no telegraph poles in sight !!!...LOL

Have a great week-end everyone

Had to be super cautious taking this shot as i was using Pete's camera and what with my luck .......LOL

Have a wonderfully Sunday everyone

Pre-dawn and the Mends Street Jetty is deserted. Soon this area will be filled with people heading across the river on the ferry. At this time it is just joggers and the odd photographer, yeah I know, very odd ones.

Now that we have removed all the tree from the waters edge, birds use the light poles as fishing lookouts. Nice to know they have a daytime use too!

The hills in the distance are the Darling Scarp, the faultline that once joined Australia to India, before the supercontinent Gondwanaland broke apart
