Enjoy your weekend everyone :)
Yesterday morning at the Four Mile Cove Eco Park. I had the place to myself. What a nice bonus with the sun rising and reflecting on the water through the mangroves. Oh and hints of fall on the boardwalk!
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to have a couple of hours while the kids were in school, and the baby with a relative, to go hiking, just me and my dog Dodger. Yes, I could take my 1 year old, but it's very limiting as far as serious hiking, and I'm never without my kids, so it was a real treat.
As soon as we hit this trail, and Dodger started running, I couldn't help but run with him. Nowadays when I run, I'm either on the treadmill inside, or pushing the heavy jogger with the baby on some sort of paved path...so it was extremely freeing to just run, myself and my dog, in the autumn forest...which is magical in its beauty this time of year.
We only do so much side-by-side running, though. I think I'm fast, but to Dodger, I'm a slowpoke human who keeps getting distracted by leaves and trees...and that stupid black thing hanging around my neck. So eventually he's off following his nose, and I'm taking pictures. By the time we left, I was covered in hitchhikers and debris...because I just love the looow down pov ;-)
I've been very busy this past week, so I'll be catching up with everyone throughout the day :-)

Let us walk in the white snow
In a soundless space;
With footsteps quiet and slow.
At a tranquil pace,
Under veils of white lace.
We shall walk in velvet shoes;
Wherever we go
Silence will fall like dews
On white silence below.
We shall walk in the snow.

condos on the beachfront, snowbirds returning to roost, shutters slowly disappear, mean season still months away, stormy day, tide out, sky spitting rain, gulls searching out the remnants of convective currents, surf sounds, pressing against a northeast wind, winter walk.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
Today I will walk out, today everything unnecessary will leave me, I will be as I was before, I will have a cool breeze over my body. I will have a light body, I will be happy forever, nothing will hinder me.
In beauty all day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons, may I walk.
On the trail marked with pollen may I walk.
With dew about my feet, may I walk.
With beauty before me may I walk.
With beauty behind me may I walk.
With beauty below me may I walk.
With beauty above me may I walk.
With beauty all around me may I walk.
In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk.
In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, living again, may I walk.
My words will be beautiful.

A cold winter walk along the Basingstoke Canal at Odiham. The sun was low in the sky and there was a vague mist on the air, dust particles and much as anything, which caught the sunlight. Despite this there were still reflections in the canal. People's breath was visible and everything had a not unpleasant brown tinge. I decided to frame this which I don't often do, as I felt it had qualities of a Constable.
I wish to speak a word for Nature, for absolute freedom and wildness, as contrasted with a freedom and culture merely civil--to regard man as an inhabitant, or a part and parcel of Nature, rather than a member of society. I wish to make an extreme statement, if so I may make an emphatic one, for there are enough champions of civilization: the minister and the school committee and every one of you will take care of that.

Personal note: Remarkably, this is my Flickr photo 4,000....at least according to my official Flickr counter which may vary from yours. This photographic hobby began from an unexpected source not too many years ago and grew through the unexpected response and support of the finest group of contacts one could imagine. You are all greatly valued and appreciated not only for what you do artistically, but what you give personally. I look forward to 5,000... the gods be willin' an' the creek don't rise...;-))
The suspension bridge that crosses Sugar Creek leads to some wonderful hiking trails in Turkey Run State Park. So of course, this is the way I walked. www.turkeyrustatepark.com/

A brownstone.Shot on 14th St in Manhattan. It could be Spanish-influenced architecture.The name "Guadalupe"is above the arched black gate. Guadalupe could also be the name of the building as is the case with many residential buildings and hotels in NYC. All I read on the brownstone is that it has 9-units and it was built around 1920.
Canal Walk is a shopping centre in Cape Town, South Africa, that opened in 2000 and was built around a canal. It has a total retail area of 141,000-square-metre.

Looking upstream along the River Dodder from Orwell Road bridge, Rathgar.
It's a short river rising in the peat bogs on the slopes of Kippure in the Wicklow mountains and running about 18 miles to the River Liffey at Ringsend. And there are miles of well-tended walks along most of its banks from Firhouse to Ringsend.
