This time, our Photo of the Month is a little bit different, but comes with a very important message for all photographers out there.
‘Photographers Portrait’, this creative flat-lay shot by Swedish photographer Rania Maria Rönntoft, came from a photo she entered for a contest on Instagram. The aim of the contest was “What’s In My Bag” and called for a flat-lay (overhead) shot of the gear and equipment that one needed to stay inspired and do their creative work.
When Rania explained her idea for her shot to her boyfriend Andreas, he said, “What about you? Sure, you need those things to execute an idea. But it all starts with you.” Here he pointed to her head. “The creative process begins in there."
“That’s how this gear-focused photo of #whatsinmybag turned into a self-portrait,” tells the photographer. “I never even considered myself as a part of what I do... Weird, huh?”
Therefore, in this month’s Photo of the Month, we are highlighting the photographer behind the image. Because Rania and Andreas are absolutely correct- it all starts with you.
Have a lovely March everyone!

I wanted to do a ''what's in my bag'' for some time now. Some people may ask what I use to photograph, I think this will answer. Usually I don't take all those thing, most of time I'll just take my camera + 2 lenses :)
Sorry for the quality, I used my old Olympus X10 that I bought in the begin of 2008, I gave it to my mother.
thank you everyone!!
wow, there are no goodies that I bought by MYSELF :0
everythings are gifts from my fiance, his family, and sweet flickr friends!
I'm a lucky girl ><
me and my fiance went out O-Hanami with O-Bento :)
We enjoyed beautiful cherry blossoms and had yummy homemade lunch boxes at a park bench :)
then he bought me new sandals and mini skirts! yaay! XD
This evening I start my 3 weeks trip to Iceland! I planed over half a year with my small student-budget to make sure that I get everything I would need to create some masterpieces :)
I most often use a Kånken to carry my gear, but now it needs some repair; I don't want to lose my gear if the bottom should happen to bust open.
So, I pulled out my Tenba (love this bag).
It is bigger than the Kånken and with plenty of padded protection if I should slip and fall (I've done that).
Plenty of space and dividers. Pockets on the outside. the Shoulder strap is easy to use with the pad having a grippy surface.
I've been wanting to do this for a while, so when I had time left over on my lunch break, I decided to give it a go.
I'm a high school teacher. I teach many subjects... the cat doesn't belong in my bag... he just curled up while I was taking my picture!
Guess what subjects I teach....
um, i got caught up looking at bag photos, so indulgently i had to do one myself. or four of them i guess, and sew them together.
..unpacked everything, but still almost missed my Snapper hiding behind my name badge in zip pocket on a bag inside my big #geek bag.
Restored it back with the tags.
Enough infrastructure in this to bring 'net to 150 geeks :)
28/03/2007 update: the contents of my life have now been viewed 1800 times - the repacked version has 700 views :) will this one make it to 2000?? will the repacked version make it to 1000?? only time will tell. i may have to update - same bag, different contents :)
inspired by a desire to join this group :) no self-censorship and bonus points for the used tissue!
you'll often find the cover page of the sydney morning herald in here too, with the cryptic crossword half done and the sudoku sometimes completed and other times with vicious slashes of ink across it...
sunday edit: i just remembered this blogpost and had to have a look... i still carry the same amount of junk but in a much smaller bag!! spookily enough, miss e and i are going to see eskimo joe again in a few weeks time...
monday edit: i have now put this in this group too - this is what is [was] really in my bag. the water bottle and hat have moved on now :)
new "what's in my bag?" the old one sucks butt.
idea (shamelessly? inspiredly?) stoled from here, mainly because I was bored, and I needed to clean out its contents anyway. Thanks Anita
Manbag... it's easier than lugging around a briefcase.
For the "What's in your bag?" group.
Missing is my wallet with passport, driving licence, credit and debit cards which was in my coat
Secret #25/30.Yet another year has passed! The year of changes... The changes are not so obvious, if you're looking at my bag content.
Could you guess from my bag content what I do for living?
Not shown: cell phone and iPod, both of which are being charged.
March 7, 2011.
I'm a bit obsessed over light leaks at the moment.
I hunted all over for a bag like that, and I couldn't find one D: So in the end I just got a plain bag and wrote the slogan on. :)
Words are the only way to pour out my thoughts, and I hope they will be sufficient, be enough to end this slow process of travelling. Life is a journey, it has been a gravel filled, rocky path with rose thorns and poisonous flowers that deceive, but I am running now, I want to leave quickly, to move on and forget everything ever happened.
Light leak credits go to the amazing Colton
Well, everyone else seems to be posting a pic like this - so why not!
Fairly typical of a woman's bag? Maybe/maybe not. There seems to be a distinct lack of cosmetics...............Probably gives an insight into my hectic lifestyle........lucozade, choc attacks, medication sorted by day as I am hopeless at remembering to take them!
Psychology magazine...........say no more! :-P
Lots of stuff I will have on the flight [sans medicine and toothbrush]
A few fellow flickrites emailed me recently asking details about the equipments I use etc.
Thought I might as well do an ever-so-popular "What's in My Bag"-style picture.
I'm going to upgrade my camera bag, because I slipped on some ice and fell on top of this bag. Busted a rib and busted one of my cameras. :-(
So, this is a survey of what I currently stuff in my bag.
BTW, this is my second Lowepro sling, but it just doesn't provide me with enough space a protection for 3 SLR cameras. They are good bags, if you only have a single camera.
...but it stays for the faves. No rebloggin', please.
[60/365] What (used to be) In My Bag
I've always loved the idea of those photos where all of the contents of your bag are presented. I just decided that mine should be taped to my wall, because I'm cool like that.
تفاعل متأخر جداً :$ !
عندي من شهر , ما تحمست أنزلها إلا بعد ما شفت هاشتاق رند
