The building across from my parent's apartment building is undergoing renovations. Here, workers are dismantling a bamboo scaffolding that went up during the renovation procedure.
Bamboo scaffoldings like this one is a pretty unique construction technique here in Asia. They can reach all the way up the side of a skyscraper. Assembled out of nothing more than dried bamboo and industrial strength zip ties, they are attached throughout the structure to pipes, beams, nooks and crannies of the building. The load is distributed over a wide area and they are incredibly strong.
I am 18 stories above ground when I took this picture, aiming the camera level, out my bedroom / kitchen windows. These guys got balls.
