Serenbe - a New Utopian Community in Georgia

We spent a cold Monday morning in early April at Serenbe (pronounced "SSEHR-inn-bee"), a 900 acre community about 30 minutes west of the Atlanta airport. We had read about this place in the New York Times and stopped by on the way back from Callaway Gardens. It lies in the heart of the 40,000 acre Chattahoochee Hill Country, which has special zoning protection, and its design calls for 80% green space, walking trails, and certified EarthCraft houses built within an easy walk to shops, restaurants, a working organic farm and equestrian center.
