Mercury global views [OBSOLETE]
Two MESSENGER views of Mercury during Jan 14, 2008 flyby. On the left is the inbound view, while on the right the final global view.
Calibrated wide-angle camera color data, unlike my previous version of the global images that was fudged based on Mercury surface spectra. The contrast seen here is higher than it would appear to the human eye, Mercury actually has less albedo differences than our Moon does.
This collage is obsoleted by this newer version.
