Jazz concert at the United Nations

On Thursday, July 3, 2014, The U.S. Mission organized a jazz concert at the United Nations Assembly Hall in celebration of Independence Day. The concert was open to the larger Geneva community and provided an opportunity to celebrate with those that were not able to attend the reception at the U.S. Mission on July 4. Ambassador Hamamoto hosted the event and delivered remarks. The concert featured the 8-member University of Nebraska Faculty Jazz Ensemble, a band comprised of some of the nations’ finest performers and educators. The band played a variety of original compositions as well as some more popular tunes.
