Red Mariposas de Alsas Nuevas Receive Nansen Refugee Award

The Columbian rights group, Butterflies with New Wings Building a Future (Butterflies), received UNHCR's prestigious Nansen Refugee Award in Geneva, (Switzerland), for its work to help victims of forced displacement and sexual abuse in one of the most violence-ridden corners of the country, the port City of Buenaventura. The ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland on September 29 also marked the 60th Anniversary of the Nansen Award.
