UNECE Beijing + 20 Regional Review Meeting

As part of the Beijing+20 review, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and UN Women co-hosted a regional consultation November 6-7, 2014, with governments and civil society on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. The review is both a stock taking of progress made since the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995 and an opportunity to identify priorities for the road ahead and the post-2015 development agenda. The U.S. delegation was headed by Ms. Hallie Schneir, Deputy Director of the White House Council on Women and Girls.
