UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Ger Duany visits the U.S. Mission.

On July 1, 2015, new UNHCR Regional Goodwill Ambassador Ger Duany visited the U.S. Mission in Geneva. He is a former Sudanese Lost Boy who resettled to the United States. During his visit, Duany discussed the millions of refugees in Africa, including his family, and their continued need for support, especially in access to education. He emphasized that refugees have immense potential and make positive contributions to society, and his message to fellow refugees is "one of hope and patience."
