Ending the Scourge of Violence Against Women

The U.S. Delegation to the Human Rights Council sponsored a panel discussion by government, UN, and civil society experts on the disproportionate amount of violence suffered by indigenous women and girls worldwide. Ambassador Keith Harper moderated the panel which included the following speakers: Jodi Gillette, former White House Senior Policy Advisor for Native American Affairs, Antti Korkeakivi, Chief of OHCHR’s Indigenous Peoples and Minorities Section and Subha Ghale, Nepali Senior Indigenous Fellow at OHCHR.
