US and Canada Chair GHD High Level Meeting
The Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) initiative held its annual high level meeting April 27, 2016. GHD is an informal donor forum and network which facilitates collective advancement of GHD principles and good practices. Its 42 members are among some of the largest government donors in humanitarian assistance globally.
The meeting was led by the US Government (via USAID/OFDA) and Canada, the 2014-2016 GHD Co-chairs, and focused on work done on operational best practices over the last year as well as looking ahead to the World Humanitarian Summit and work to be done post-Istanbul.
The opening panel comprised of experts from the private sector focused on innovative partnerships for humanitarian impact followed by a plenary to discuss the potential to scale up partnerships for the Ethiopia Drought. Learn more about GHD: www.ghdinitiative.org/
