U.S. Hosts ITU Council Reception

Robert Strayer, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Cyber and International Communications and Information Policy, speaks at a reception in honor of delegates to the 2018 ITU Council.

 

As the governing body of the International Telecommunication Union, the Council brings together member states, businesses and NGOs to coordinate policies and ensure the world’s communication systems work. The United States is proud to have been a member of the Council since its creation in 1948 and is currently seeking reelection for 2018-2022. We look forward to continuing our work with partners to strengthen and improve the ITU.
