The Power of Empowered Women 2016

Live Theater, interactive discussion and a youth declaration to the Human Rights Council were all part of today's energizing Power of Empowered Women Event. Participants were asked to reflect on what personal commitments they might make in their daily lives to advance gender equality. Held on Human Rights Council Women's Rights Day, #PoEW 2016 was a collaboration between the Group of Women Ambassadors to the United Nations in Geneva, the International Geneva Gender Champions and the Barbershop Initiative.
