Human Rights Council Panel on Syria
William J. Mozdzierz, Head of the U.S. Delegation to the Human Rights Council, listens to personal testimony by former detainees, activists and witnesses of human rights violations in Syria.
“This month marks the six-year anniversary of the first peaceful demonstrations by Syrians seeking dignity, freedom, and a say in how they are governed,” Mozdzierz said. “This panel represents the spirit and hope of that movement. Through their work, these panelists bear witness to the suffering of the Syrian people and give hope for a just and peaceful end to the conflict.”
