U.S. National Statement at HRC37

Ambassador Mary Catherine (Molly) Phee, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for International Organisation Affairs, delivered the U.S. National Intervention at the High Level Segment of the 37th Session of the Human Rights Council, Feb 28, 2018. "The United States continues to look closely at our participation in the Council. We want to see the Council succeed,” Phee said. "To be most effective, the United Nations needs a body to hold countries accountable, to provide a platform for human rights defenders, and to assist countries that are working to improve human rights at home."
