International Gender Champions

The U.S. Mission and Ambassador Sheba Crocker were honored to host the International Gender Champions’ 2022 annual meeting this week ahead of International Women’s Day.

 

It was an inspiring evening featuring a statement by Martin Chungong, Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Chair of the IGC Global Board, as well as a Keynote statement by Pamela Coke-Hamilton, the Executive Director of the International Trade Centre.

 

At the meeting, Champions launched the 2021 Annual report and celebrated the new network-wide IGC Gender-based Violence Pledge to stand for zero tolerance of gender-based violence, sexist attitudes and behavior.
