Ambassador Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe Addresses HRC on Syria Crisis

Human Rights Council delegations discussed the grave deterioration of the human rights situation in Syria June 27, 2012 after receiving the report of the Independent Commission of Inquiry. “The evidence is incontrovertible,” Ambassador Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe told the Council. “The Assad regime is waging a brutal campaign against the Syrian people, characterized by aerial bombardment, mass killings, rape and other atrocities.”
