P5 Press Conference at the United Nations
The five Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) nuclear-weapon states, or "P5" held a press briefing at the United Nations Office at Geneva on April 19, 2013 following a two-day meeting in Geneva under the chairmanship of the Russian Federation.
At the briefing, Acting Under Secretary Rose Gottemoeller highlighted the increasing cooperation among the P5, saying, “What we have done to embed the P5 process in the NPT system has created rich cooperation among the P5. We are seeing payoff now and will see increasing payoff before the 2015 NPT Revcon.”
