Panel Discussion at the BWC Meeting of Experts
Diplomats and experts at the Biological Weapons Convention Meeting of Experts discussed ways to enhance international cooperation in response to disease outbreaks at an August 15, 2013 side event hosted by the U.S. Delegation to the Conference. The 2013 Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) Meeting of Experts (August 12-16, 2013) at the United Nations Office at Geneva brings together diplomats, scientists, and representatives of international and non-governmental organizations to work together to improve the treaty’s effectiveness as a practical barrier against the development or use of biological weapons.
