2010 Media Tour to Bangladesh

During the 2010 USUN Media Tour, former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Agencies in Rome, Ertharin Cousin, toured Bangladesh as part of a regional press trip. Ambassador Cousin was accompanied on her visit by journalists as she toured Bangladesh to highlight the partnership between Bangladesh, the United States, and key US agencies such as USAID. The projects visited by the journalists and Ambassador Cousin focused on food-security, small-holder farmers, education and sustainable agriculture. In addition to touring US initiatives, Ambassador Cousin met with the Agriculture, Food and Disaster Management, Health and Livestock and Fisheries Ministers of Bangladesh to discuss hunger alleviation in the region.
