Student Visit

Representatives from the U.S. Mission to Int'l Organizations in Vienna together with representatives from the International Atomic Energy (IAEA) discussed nuclear policy issues during with students from the University of Innsbruck during their visit to the Vienna International Centre on Friday, December 13, 2013. As a special treat the group’s briefing was organized in the historic meeting room, where usually major policy decisions are being discussed among IAEA and Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) Member States. UNVIE’s presentation also emphasized the United States’ strong and positive role in promoting development by fostering the use of peaceful nuclear technologies in agriculture, medicine, water management, and other areas.
